A MEMORIAL service for former Christchurch Mayor, Cllr Colin Bungey, is to be held at the Priory next week.
The service takes place at 12 noon on Friday October 22 and all are welcome.
Cllr Bungey passed away in April last year and because of Covid it has not been possible to organise the tribute before now.
Cllr Bungey served as a councillor for Christchurch for 37 unbroken years, first on the former Borough Council from 1983 and then on BCP Council from 2019.
He always served as an Independent representing Jumpers ward and then Commons.
He was also made an Honorary Freeman to mark his long service.
His wife, Cllr Mrs Sue Bungey is this year’s Mayor of Christchurch.
