A DRIVER reportedly fled the scene after a vehicle crashed into a wall in North Dorset.

Dorset Police say a black Ford Kuga collided with a low-level brick wall near to St John the Baptist Church in Spetisbury at around 7pm on Sunday, September 12.

Police officers were called and attended the scene, but the occupants of the vehicle had left prior to police arrival.

Enquiries were carried out and on Wednesday, September 29 a man was voluntarily interviewed in connection with the incident. No arrests have been made.

Police Constable Paul Cleal, of North Dorset police, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident to try and establish who was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision.

“Our investigation has now led us to be in a position where I need witnesses to help me with my enquiries so that I can identify the driver.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened or captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please come forward.”
