A MAN was stabbed during a cash robbery on Bournemouth beach promenade.

Dorset Police received a report at 7.05am on Tuesday September 14 of a robbery on the seafront between Bournemouth Pier and Boscombe Pier.

A quantity of cash was stolen. During the incident, the victim was stabbed and sustained lacerations to his hands.

He was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

Detectives investigating the robbery on Bournemouth seafront having issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.

Detective Constable Ian Caddy, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this robbery and are now in a position to release an image of a man we would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
