POLICE have released new CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as part of a rape investigation.
Detectives are continuing their enquiries into a rape in Poole last month.
As reported, at around 2am on Saturday, September 4, the victim, a woman aged in her 40s, met a man on a bench near to Slug & Lettuce in the high street before walking with him toward Baiter Park where it is reported that he raped her.
They walked together along Poole Quay, Stanley Road, Green Road, Green Gardens and Labrador Drive, before entering Baiter Park.
Detective Sergeant Ian Allen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are continuing to support the victim as our investigation is carried out.
“I have now obtained new CCTV images of a man I would like to identify and I would urge anyone with information about his identity to please come forward.
“We know that this incident could cause concern in the community and I would like to reassure the public that detailed enquiries are being carried out.
“Local officers out on patrols in the area can be approached by any member of the public who has concerns or would like to pass on information.”
