AN ARREST has been made nearly a year after police first received a report of a man exposing himself to schoolgirls in Poole.

Dorset Police has received four reports since November 2020 involving a man sat in a car allegedly exposing himself to schoolgirls in the areas of Clarendon Road and Upton Way.

Local officers have been carrying out detailed enquiries into these reports and, following these efforts, a 44-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

He has been released under investigation as detectives from Bournemouth CID carry out further enquiries.

Neighbourhood inspector Dan Cullen, of Poole police, said: “We have carried out extensive enquiries into these reports over a period of several months and I would like to thank members of the local community who have assisted our investigation by providing information.

“We take reports of this nature very seriously and I would continue to urge anyone with any information or concerns to contact us at www.dorset.pnn.police.uk, via email 101 or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210135140.”
