A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with reportedly serious injuries following a crash with a car on a main road in Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the A35 Lyndhurst Road shortly after 5pm on Friday, September 24.
The road was closed for more than two hours while police and ambulance teams responded to the incident.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "We received a report at 5.10pm on Friday, September 24, of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Lyndhurst Road in Christchurch.
"The road was closed to allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident.
"The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious. The road was reopened at around 7.45pm."
