ARMED police arrested four people after receiving reports of poaching in Ringwood.
Officers were alerted to incidents of poaching on Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for Ringwood Police said: “On Tuesday night we responded to call from a local land owner about possible poaching with a firearm.
“Armed response, dog units, NPAS (the helicopter) and New Forest response have responded and arrested three males and one female on scene.
“Ringwood and Fordingbridge NPT along with two further dog units and the New Forest Country watch have carries out a number of searches and continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.
“All four involved have been released on bail as enquiries continue.”
