SANDFEST on Sandbanks Blue Flag beach in Poole, Dorset saw 5,000 party revellers gather on Sunday.

The beach dance festival, a firm fixture in the summer calendar is usually held in the height of Summer but it was postponed in July 2019 and then moved again to Sunday September 19, this year.

However, the new dates didn’t deter the party revellers who were keen to let their hair down and watch a line-up of top DJ’s.

The event always attracts big dance acts like Tinie Tempah, Faithless and Idris Elba, and this year it did not disappoint with Danny Howard, MistaJam, Nafe Smallz, Yxng Bane and headliners drum and bass band Rudimental, finishing the Sunday night with an electric set.

This year the Sandfest stage had been constructed from wooden pallettes which lit up the sky with an incredible light show as the sun went down.

Sandfest founder and Director Ty Temel said: “It’s been a tough few years never knowing if we could go ahead, even up until the last month but the weather was brilliant and people were ready to party back on the beach. We are now thinking about next year’s event which will move back to the July 2022.”

Next year’s Sandfest will take place on July 10, 2022.
