A PUB in Chickerell is hosting an event which will see the installation of a new community defibrillator outside the venue.
The Lugger Inn landlord Liam Coles said he and his team at the pub, in West Street, were inspired to raise as much cash as possible to pay for the life-saving equipment.
Mr Coles said his team were motivated to raise the cash after the events of Euro 2020, which saw Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapse on the pitch during his team's opening game against Finland on June 12 after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Mr Coles said: "After Christian Eriksen collapsed, we decided to raise money to install the community defibrillator outside of The Lugger Inn.
"With lots of houses being built, existing residents and plenty of visitors to our pub from in and around the area - we thought it would be a good location for one.
"The events in the match shocked everyone, which prompted us to make commitment that all members of staff have at least a basic training in CPR.
"The Chickerell community and a few business, including a £500 donation from Dorset Show Homes, helped raise almost £1,000 - the Lugger then topped up the remaining to pay for the machine and box."
Pye Hill Electrical will install the box and electrical supply as a donation on Friday, September 24 between 5pm and 6pm.
