THOUSANDS of people flocked to Kings Park for delicious food and live music at the Foodies Festival.

The star-studded line up, including a MasterChef champion, were in Kings Park all weekend showcasing their talents.

The Killerz headlined the festival and got everyone up dancing and having a good time.

Sue Hitchen, Foodies Festival founder and director said: “We're delighted to be able to bring our celebration of food, drink and music to Bournemouth for the first time.

“It's been an absolute pleasure to showcase a line-up of top class chefs and give people the opportunity to try a large selection of delicious food and produce.

“We've had a very busy weekend at Kings Park and received such a warm welcome from the local community, we're already looking forward to returning next year."

MasterChef 2020 champion Thomas Frake was part of the star-studded line-up at the festival’s Bournemouth debut.

Speaking at the event, he said: “It's been a great summer with Foodies Festival, but the reception at Bournemouth will be hard to beat.

“The Chef’s Theatre was packed with hungry foodies, and everyone was having such a great time. I can't wait for next year."

Alex Webb, MasterChef: The Professionals 2020 champion, added: “I've had an amazing time cooking live at Bournemouth Foodies Festival, the weather has been fantastic and it's great to see everyone out and about enjoying themselves again. I've really enjoyed checking out the region too.”

At the three-day festival, visitors could enjoy the Chefs Theatre, Cake & Bake Theatre, Drinks Theatre with wine, champagne, beer and cocktail making masterclasses, shopping village with award-winning artisan producers and the street food avenue offering a large selection of dishes from Japanese Bao Buns to traditional Hawaiian BBQ’s.

More than 150 exhibitors showcased their talents from the south coast and around the world.
