THE penultimate weekend of September is set to be a busy one with plenty of events taking place all around Dorset.

So if you’re stuck for something to do across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole the Daily Echo has got you covered with a list of just some of the activities taking place this weekend.

Bournemouth Echo: Shelina Permaloo at the Foodies Festival

 

Foodies Fest

Travelling across the UK is Foodies Festival which comes to Kings Park this on Friday September 17, with events continuing Saturday and Sunday too. Those attending can expect a star-studded lineup featuring celebrity chefs from MasterChef and Bake Off champions. Also on offer will be a host of music acts, live theatre and plenty of food. 40 bands from across Bournemouth including Queen and Lady Gaga tributes will be performing across the three days. Adult day tickets start from £19, with a weekend pass costing £29 and available to purchase on the festival’s website.

Sandfest

As the name suggests the festival on the sand is back for the first time since the pandemic. Rudimental, Danny Howard and Mistajam are just some of the names headlining the event at Sandbanks on Sunday, September 19. Gates open at 12pm with the event taking place all day and into the night, when it ends at 10pm. Final release tickets are still available, but start from £50 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Jaggers Comedy Club

If you fancy a laugh, you can head down to Cameo between 19.30-22.00 on Saturday September 18. Jaggers Comedy club will be taking place with tickets starting at £20. The night will feature four comedians to entertain you at the over 18 event. Tickets are available via the Jaggers Comedy Club website.

 

Inside Out Festival

Bournemouth Echo: One of the perfomers at the Inside Out Festival.

Forming one of a trio of festivals taking place this weekend, Inside Out is an international arts festival taking place over the next two weekends. Dorchester-based outdoor arts producer Activate is organising the free to attend event at Moors Valley Country Park. The event will be taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday September 18 events will also take place at Poole Quay and in Christchurch on Sunday September 19. Sloop Sausage and Cider Festival

Starting at 6pm on Friday September 17 you can visit The Sloop pub in Poole for a sausage and cider event. The event continues on Saturday, with 20 ciders available and a Charcuterie (French term for a food selection devoted to meat products).
