FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a fire at Mudeford Quay in Christchurch this afternoon.

Crews from seven fire stations are dealing with the domestic blaze in the Mudeford road area leading inot Stanpit road, with police also in attendance.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We are currently dealing with a fire at a domestic property in Mudeford, Christchurch.

"Crews from Christchurch, Springbourne and Westbourne are in attendance along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Westbourne and additional crews from Hampshire FRS (Lymington, Ringwood & New Milton).

"No casualties have been reported and they are currently using main lines and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire within the roof of the building."

The fire was ongoing and there were no details of the cause.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police received a report at 1.51pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 of a fire at Mudeford in Christchurch. Officers are in attendance to assist with traffic management."
