THE Bournemouth Air Festival will be taking off today for the first time in two years and it's looking like the rain will hold off.

Here’s what the Met Office says the weather will be like over the next four days.

Thursday’s weather is predicted to be cloudy with sunny intervals in the afternoon. There will be a less than 5% chance of rain throughout the day with temperatures ranging from 16 degrees to 18 degrees over the morning. In the afternoon, there will be sunny spells with lows of 18 degrees and highs of 21 degrees. The sun will set at 7.51pm for those looking to watch the planes flying at dusk.

On Friday, the weather is predicted to have sunny intervals with highs of 22 and lows of 13. The morning will begin at 13 degrees, reaching 20 degrees by 1pm and dropping to 19 degrees at 7pm. There will be a less than 5% chance of rain and the sun will set at 7.49pm.

On Saturday, the weather is again predicted to have sunny intervals with highs of 21 and lows of 16. In the morning the temperature will start off at 14 degrees, reaching 20 degrees by 1pm and dropping to 19 degrees at 7pm. There will be a less than 5% chance of rain, increasing to 10% at 4pm. The sun will set at 7.49pm.

Sunday is predicted to be cloudy with sunny intervals in the afternoon. It will be slightly colder with highs of 19 and lows of 17. In the morning the temperature will start off at 17 degrees, reaching 19 degrees by 1pm and dropping to 18 degrees at 7pm. There will be a higher chance of rain starting at 10% in the morning, increasing to 20% in the afternoon and then reaching 60% by 10pm, just missing the final day of the air show.

Enthusiast Bournemouth and Poole Weather said: "The weather is looking much better for the air show, not a heatwave but more sun and mostly dry with the low cloud starting to lift out."
