We have seen recently that the Bourne Stream in Bournemouth Gardens can flood when we have high levels of rain but back in 1988 tons of earth was moved into the Bournemouth Lowers Gardens in the bid to ease the flooding.
Afterwards a two-metre paved overspill area along the west side of the stream to aid flooding relief.
