A BRAND new outdoor film and street food festival is coming to Bournemouth this week. 

Heralded as the 'first-of-its-kind' the four-day event features an open-air cinema, local street food, live comedy and specially-curated short films.

The event, organised by Adventure Cinema, will be held at BH Live Littledown from Thursday, August 19, to Sunday, August 22. 

Visiting 15 major city and town parks across the UK, the socially spacious festival is described as the first event of its kind, adult tickets start at £16.50 plus booking fee. For afternoon showings, children 12 years old and under go half-price (plus booking fee).

On Thursday evening the Film and Food Fest will feature a special showcase of short movies from some of the UK’s finest independent filmmakers. Different in each region, the showcase will highlight the work of local creatives, £2 from every ticket sold for the short film nights will also be used to support local film organisations within each city.

Nomad Waffles - Film and Food Fest 2021 is coming to Bournemouth  between August 19 and 20.  

Saturday and Sunday afternoon is reserved for family films, with classics like The Lion King and The Goonies, and modern favourites like The Greatest Showman Sing-A-Long, Onward and Doolittle.

There will also be mouthwatering street food from local traders, curated by Street Food Warehouse.

Guests can expect everything from gourmet burgers and bruschetta, to crepes and caramel ice-cream, along with a dedicated bar, serving great beers and bespoke cocktails.

Gates will open up to 3 hours before each film starts, to ensure visitors have plenty of time to enjoy.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings will feature live comedy followed by blockbuster movies - including favourites such as Grease and Dirty Dancing.
