‘Air Festival is damaging. We must remember our climate change commitments’
UNFORTUNATELY, air travel is one of the more environmentally damaging activities we can undertake.
Globally, the aviation industry is responsible for roughly two per cent of carbon dioxide emissions, but that is rising quickly as more people fly more often.
Bearing this in mind and our climate change commitments, now so crucial as we stand at the brink of international disaster, BCP Council still see fit to, once again, unleash on us yet another polluting and damaging air festival although the previous administration had much more ecologically sound solutions! I despair.
