ROCK Band Manic Street Preachers will be coming to Bournemouth this coming October as part of their UK live tour.

Following their longest enforced break from playing live the group will be taking their forthcoming album, The Ultra Vivid Lament’, on tour around the nation.

On October 10 the band will take to the stage at the O2 Academy in Boscombe to play all their latest tracks.

The new album will be their 14th and comes out on September 3, having already released two tracks including the most recent release in ‘being the secret he had missed’.

The latest track is a cousin of ‘the girl who wanted to be god’ from their fourth album and features a vocal from Julia Cumming over a ABBA inspired piano line with restless rhythm.

Musically the most recent album which is set to be toured is inspired by a formative years record box with ABBA, post-Eno Roxy, the Bunnymen, Fables-era REM and Lodger.

It will also be the first album created on a piano rather than a guitar and was recorded in Wales over last winter.

Tickets for their upcoming tour are available online via Ticketmaster.
