TWO boys were pushed off an e-scooter before being robbed of the vehicle by a man.

An investigation has been launched by police following the incident near to Victoria Park football ground in Namu Road, Bournemouth.

The incident occurred at around 7pm on Monday, July 26, while a 14-year-old was riding an e-scooter with a friend.

They were approached by a man who asked to have a go and despite continually being told no, the man has used force to push the boys off the scooter before riding off on it. The boys did not sustain any injuries.

The man is described as white, aged between 20 and 25 years old, six feet tall and of slim build with short black or brown hair. He had a tattoo on the back of his left leg and was wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts.

The e-scooter is a black Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 Electric Scooter.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following the robbery.

PC Calum Maton, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident so far and I am appealing to anyone who may have information about the robbery to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen an e-scooter matching the description given for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
