One glowing review states: “We stayed for a few days at Daisy Cottage in the grounds of this pub.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent in the The Bakers Arms. The food and drink was excellent and the hospitality second to none.

The highest-rated burger restaurant in Bournemouth according to Tripadvisor, is Moose Kitchen.

Based on Bourne Avenue, the restaurant has attracted a five-out-of-five rating based on nearly 500 reviews. It is also Bournemouth’s most top rated restaurant on Tripadvisor.

Bridport

The Three Horseshoes in Burton Bradstock has been dubbed the best place for a burger  in the Bridport area.

The popular restaurant has a four-and-a-half rating based on 414 reviews.

One notable review said: “This is a genuine hidden gem a little off the beaten track in Dorchester.

“There's a decent sized car park just around the corner and the food and service are absolutely spot-on.

“The Ranch burger is excellent, as is the Captain's burger, but for me the highlight has to be the Chicken Tikka Masala pie, which was a joy.

“Come hungry and try the pie and burger combo!”

Gillingham

The popular Kings Arms Inn has a four-and-a-half rating from 280 reviews, with users praising its food and service.

One user wrote: “Amazingly, this was the first time we had ever used Oriel (despite living in Poole) and to be honest we only used it as they were doing a click and collect service.

“What a revelation! Husband had the Oriel Special burger and I had the Halloumi one.

“Oh, and husband got a courtesy bottle of Doombar too as it was Fathers Day!

“Both were excellent. Lovely people on the phone and in person too, you can be sure as soon as they are up and running a restaurant service again, we will be there!”

Portland

Taste Cafe at Chesil Beach is the best place for a burger, according to Tripadvisor.

The café, which offers a scenic view of the beach, currently has a four-and-a-half rating based on 576 reviews.

Shaftesbury

The coastal town has a few takeaways to choose from but The 1859 Pier Cafe & Bistro has been dubbed the best in the town for a burger on Tripadvisor.

The restaurant has a four-and-a-half rating based on 422 reviews on the site and is overall the third best rated Swanage restaurant on Tripadvisor.

One reviewer said: “Visited for lunch with family as we had an uncle visiting from abroad and decided 1859 was the perfect place to take him.

“Food was great as always, I had the Mexican Beef Burger which is a firm favourite and my uncle agreed after ordering the same.

“Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to a lovely experience.

“With the food, overall atmosphere and the amazing view, I couldn’t recommend a better place.”
