IMAGES of three men have been released after a stolen Mercedes was involved in a fail to stop crash in Bournemouth before being found abandoned and on fire.

The silver Mercedes was involved in a crash with a MG ZS on Bath Hill roundabout at 9.20am on Thursday, July 29.

The MG sustained damage during the incident, however, the driver of the Mercedes did not stop at the scene and was later seen being abandoned in Gervis Road with three people running from the scene.

Police said the car had sustained significant damage to the front end.

Officers attended and found the vehicle locked. They subsequently tried to make enquiries as to the identity of the vehicle’s owner.

Later the same day, the Force received a call about a car on fire at the same location. The fire was extinguished by the fire service. The car was reported as stolen shortly afterward.

Now police have released CCTV images of three people they would like to identify and have also appealed for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw it abandoned or on fire to contact them. Police Constable Jamie Davis, of Bournemouth police, said: “These incidents have affected two drivers, one of which is currently left without a vehicle, which is having a severe impact on their life.”
