POLICE are investigating after a woman sustained serious injuries by falling from a window.

Emergency services attended a concern for welfare in Christchurch shortly before 7.20pm on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 7.19pm on Tuesday, August 3, by the ambulance service to a concern for welfare report of a woman at an address on Fairway Drive in Christchurch.

“Early indications are that a woman aged in her 50s had fallen from a window and sustained serious injuries.

“She was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are underway to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.”
