POLICE and the fire service were called to a crash in Christchurch on Friday evening.
Officers were first called to the scene on Stour Road, which involved one vehicle, at 10.01pm on Friday July 30.
Fire crews were called for assistance of over concerns of a fire risk and trapped passenger.
Whole time and on call firefighters from Christchurch Station arrived and, after confirming that no person were in immediate danger, they made the scene safe before returning to the station.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We received a call from police for a single vehicle road traffic collision with a smell of burning from the vehicle and possible persons trapped.
“Two crews from Christchurch were mobilised to the incident.
“Once the first crew booked in attendance, they quickly confirmed that no persons were trapped.
“They ensured all was safe before leaving the incident in the care of police.”
