FIREFIGHTERS reported to a fire at a restaurant near Durley Chine Beach this morning.
Crews from Westbourne, Springbourne and Redhill Park were called top reports of a blaze at a beachfront café at 7.50am on Saturday July 31.
As crews arrived, it was found that fire was caused by “flammable materials” left on the cooking appliance.
A fire service spokesman said: “A Fire crews from Westbourne, Springbourne and Redhill Park responded to a report of a fire in a restaurant in Durley Chine this morning.
“Flammable materials left on a hob were quickly removed and extinguished by crews wearing breathing apparatus, and the smoke was cleared from the building using ventilation fans.”
