POLICE are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run in Bournemouth.

At around 6.40am on Sunday, July 25, a man aged in his 50s was riding his silver Peugeot motorcycle on the southbound slip road from the A338 to the Cooper Dean Roundabout when he was involved in a collision with a silver Citroen Xsara Picasso.

The motorcyclist came off his bike and sustained minor injuries. The Citroen failed to stop following the incident.

And police are now appealing for witnesses, and the driver of the car, to come forward.

Police Constable Gabriel Neagu, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam, to please come forward.

“It is likely the car involved sustained damage to its nearside front bumper, lights and wing mirror and I am also keen to hear from anyone who is aware of a Citroen Xsara Picasso that has sustained damage recently in unexplained circumstances.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the driver of the vehicle involved to do the right thing and come forward.”
