A POPULAR US-born chicken brand will open a new restaurant in Bournemouth's BH2 leisure complex later this week.

Slims Chickens is opening its 13th store in the UK on Thursday, July 29, serving a wide selection of chicken sandwiches, tenders, wings, salads and wraps.

Slims, as it is also known, is famous for its cooked-to-order premium chicken served in an American diner inspired setting complete with blues music.

Any of the orders come with a choice of 15 dipping sauces which include Slim’s signature sauce, blue cheese, honey BBQ, sriracha garlic and the fiery inferno.

The restaurant will also serve alcoholic drinks including their own IPA, Corn Star Martini and Whiskey Smash.

In addition to soft drinks such as their spun shakes in flavours such as Oreo, popcorn and caramel flavours.

Coverage of live sports will be shown inside including Premier League and Champions League action to a whole host of US sports for guests viewing leisure.

Doors will be open from 10.30am until 11 pm from Sunday to Thursday, and until 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The new branch will seat in excess of 100 people inside and 30 alfresco at the venue which will be housed in a 4,500 sqm outlet next door to the Odeon multiplex.

The news restaurant will bring 50 news jobs to the local economy offering team training and career progression within the food chain.

Customers can make use of the offer on the Slim Chickens’ UK app which gives a 20 percent discount on their first visit, plus loyalty rewards.

For anyone wishing to order from home they can do so via Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats or alternatively click and collect will be available.

Currently the nearest branch is in Southampton, in the West Quay shopping centre, in what is building a reputation as an up-and-coming restaurant brand in the UK.

The company has 104 stores, mostly across the pond in 18 American states, although they also operate internationally in Kuwait - in addition to the 12 already on British shores.
