EMERGENCY service personnel have been called to Rockley Park after reports of concerns for “multiple people” in the water.

Dorset Police, South Western Ambulance Service, two RNLI boats, fire crews from Hamworthy and Poole and three coastguards teams are all on the scene at Rockley Point.

This is after reports began coming in at 4pm on Monday, July 26.

A spokeswoman from HM Coastguard said: “At approximately 4pm today (July 26), HM Coastguard responded to a 999 call from a member of the public concerned about multiple people in the water at Rockley Point.

Coastguard rescue teams from Poole, Kimmeridge and Southbourne were sent alongside the RNLI lifeboats from Poole, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, Dorset Police and the South Western Ambulance Service.

“The incident is ongoing.”

A spokesman from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “We are there in support of the police and RNLI.

“We have crews from Hamworthy and Poole in attendance and were called at 4.06pm.”
