A CAR crashed into a set of bollards outside a supermarket entrance, causing extensive vehicle damage.
Police and ambulance crews were called to M&S Foodhall on Ringwood Road, Ferndown, on Thursday afternoon.
The silver car crashed into the bollards which separates the shop entrance from the car park.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 3.35pm on Thursday, July 2021 of a collision involving a car and a bollard at M&S Simply Food on Ringwood Road in Ferndown.
“Officers attended the scene with the ambulance service.”
The incident caused long queues by the entrance of the shop as the ambulance and police attended.
One witness told the Daily Echo: “The impact caused a lot of damage to the car. The police and ambulance got there really quickly.
They added: “If the bollards hadn’t been there, I think the car would have gone straight through the shop entrance.”
