DOZENS of actresses who have played the role of Alice at Adventure Wonderland were reunited as the park celebrated its 30th anniversary.

More than fifty local actresses have played the iconic role and last Sunday, Adventure Wonderland reunited those actresses for a special ‘Alice Day’ party.

Originally opening as the ‘Alice in Wonderland Park’, guests have always been greeted by Lewis Carroll’s storybook stars.

Lucy Lucas-Rowe, Adventure Wonderland’s director, said: “The characters here have always been a hugely loved aspect of the entertainment we provide.

“We never imagined when we planted the Alice in Wonderland maze from thousands of beech trees in 1991 that we would still be here 30 years later.

“We now have families who visited as children in the 1990s who are now bringing their own children for days out which is so lovely to hear.”

Andy Brenna, entertainments manager, added: “We wanted to celebrate the event by bringing back all of our previous Alice actresses.

“It was quite the mission to track everyone down, but the response has been incredible. Alice’s have travelled from all over the country to join the fun.”
