Letter to the Editor: Parking woes show there just are not enough spaces
SURELY the fact that 700 penalty charge tickets were issued over the weekend tells the council there is just not enough places to park for the tourists they want to come here.
They go on about 10 miles of golden beaches but if there is no where to park when you get here (and some have been in very long tailbacks coming here) what are they supposed to do.
A large majority of the cars have children, picnics etc to carry but where are they to park.
Wouldn’t a park and ride help on the outskirts of the town (not just for the air show)?
And maybe stop building expensive flats on existing car parks.
