A NEW pop-up bar is opening in Bournemouth town centre today with a flurry of live music events scheduled for throughout the summer.
The Garden Bar in the town square on Bourne Avenue is opening a new pop-up bar and events experience today, Friday, July 16.
Organised by Summer Live, the bar is a free event pop-up which was created eight years ago by Bournemouth Town Watch and local event company Strawberry Fields RePresents - it is now hosted by Bournemouth based, independent organisation Absolute Music.

This year Summer Live returns to provide free entertainment including over 100 entertainment performances until Monday, August 30
All acts are from the area including Chris Payn,Taya Michington, Lee Rasdall-Dove and students from the Bournemouth Academy of Modern Music.

The entertainment programme includes a range of free children’s entertainment for 3 weeks from 11am during the school holidays.
The event has a small outdoor bar with seating and food is available. Visitors are also able to browse through a range of market stalls and trading huts in the square.
