A MAN has received a driving ban after he was caught behind the wheel at double the alcohol limit in a New Forest town centre.
Tadas Poskus, 34, had 70 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was driving a BMW in High Street, Lymington, on June 12.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Poskus, of Solent Close, Lymington, pleaded guilty to charges of drink driving and driving without a licence when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 9.
The defendant was fined £200, ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 20 months.
