So-called freedom is nearly upon us on July 19 as all lockdown restrictions are set to be eased in the final stage of the Government’s roadmap to recovery.

Providing the easing of restrictions are not pushed back, there is set to be no social distancing measures or compulsory use of face masks.

This means nightclubs can finally open their doors once again at full capacity, with no sit-down socially distanced night events, to punters for the first time since March 2020.

A host of clubs across Bournemouth will be open for business with a wide range of events to celebrate the easing of restrictions and party the night away.

Walkabout - Snakebite Sunday, the first dance (156-164 Old Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH1 1NL)

July 18 to 19, 2021

When the clock strikes 12.01am on Monday, July 19, Walkabout Bournemouth will open to party-goers eager to celebrate the end of restrictions with their snakebite event.

The first dance will feature a variety of party anthems and sing-along songs from live DJs complete with confetti cannons.

Walkabout will offer a socially distanced table service between 10pm and 11.59pm before opening the dancefloor the moment restrictions are on course to be scrapped with tickets available via their website.

Tickets £5-£30.

Cameo & Myu Bar - Freedom Day - First Dance (Fir Vale Rd, Bournemouth BH1 2JA)

Bournemouth’s biggest nightclub will be open to partygoers from 00:01 with freedom day’s first dance to celebrate the end of lockdown.

Their website proclaims the club will be throwing the biggest party in what they say is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

As with the previous nightclub venues tickets are also available online to book your place on the dancefloor ahead of the event.

Halo - Free Party with Jaguar Skills (Exeter Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5AQ)

Halo’s iconic church venue in Bournemouth will re-open fully on Monday, July 19 with its free party as DJ Jaguar Skills headlines the inaugural night of the easing of restrictions.

Tickets are available online with a free ticket option redeemable on their website for what was originally their student night - the UK’s longest-running according to their ticketing page.

Jaguar Skills is known for his immense DJing skills across a variety of electronic genres of music to satisfy revelers partying needs.

Aruba - The freedom rave (Pier Approach, Bournemouth BH2 5AA)

Aruba, the iconic venue on Bournemouth Pier, will be allowing night life goers the opportunity to flock its dancefloor once again without restrictions on the day lockdown measures are dropped.

The freedom rave will feature a live DJ lineup, sound system, laser and light displays with CO2 and confetti cannons with up to 2000 ravers. - with tickets being sold online.

This event will feature the chance to win three VIP ticket upgrades to the event, a £300 bar tab, exclusive after-party access and a luxury apartment for two nights for anyone tagging three mates on their event wall.

Revolution - Toast Tuesday official reopening (163-167 Old Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH1 1JU)

Toast Tuesdays have been running for eight years in Bournemouth and is a staple in the calendar of many students throughout their time in the town, as well as locals.

On the day following the easing of restrictions, the iconic night-out will be back with what promises to be the biggest toast yet with tickets being sold online.

To celebrate the first unrestricted event in over a year the event will be giving away £250 in cash to one of the first two hundred to enter its doors.

The Old Firestation - Applebum opening party (36 Holdenhurst Rd, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH8 8AD)

The university’s student union-owned bar will return next week but not until Thursday, July 22, with its Applebum event which will be followed by Lollipop the very next day and Suddenly Funk on Saturday.

Applebum features a host of Hip Hop and RnB music via a journey of the biggest urban anthems from the past and present. 

The event will run from 10pm to 3am, with tickets available online alongside the two events following Applebum that week at the old fire station.
