A HALFORDS store closed temporarily after a member of staff tested positive for Covid.
The chain's shop at Christchurch Retail Park in Bailey Drive took the "precautionary measure" to shut so a deep clean could took place.
The store has since reopened and the business said it is following test and trace protocols.
A Halfords spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a colleague from our Christchurch store has tested positive for Covid-19.
"As a precautionary measure, we temporarily closed the store for a deep clean as soon as we became aware of their result and the store has since reopened.
"We are also implementing the correct test and trace procedures and will continue to follow Government guidelines."
As reported, several businesses in the area have taken the decision to close due to cases involving staff.
Chez Fred in Seamoor Road, Westbourne and O'Neill's in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, shut for a short period following confirmed cases. Both premises have since reopened.
