THE world’s tallest cruise ship, Golden Horizon, arrived in port at Poole this morning under stormy grey skies.
An incredible spectacle, the five masted barque cruise ship is a replica of a 1913 ship.
Pictures show the ship passing Old Harry’s Rocks in the Swash Channel, dwarfing the chain ferry at 165 metres.

The large ship will remain at port until its departure at 8pm this evening.
Rescheduled to meet government coronavirus guidelines, the official inaugural for Golden Horizon will now take place from July 19 to July 24.

It will give guests the chance to experience the ship under sail on two sea days, as well as the stops in Cowes and Plymouth.
Easy to spot with sails totalling 6,300 square metres of canvas, everyone is encouraged to look out for the ship around the coast of England this summer.
With a maximum capacity of 272 guests (136 as current Government restrictions stand) and 140 cabins that are all sea-facing, Golden Horizon is a near replica of the 1913-built ocean vessel, France II.
