A MAN has received a prison sentence and placed on the sex offender’s register after touching a teenage girl’s bottom.
Patryk Szum, 31, committed the sexual assault on the 17-year-old in Bournemouth on March 12.
Szum appeared by video link from HMP Winchester for a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing on July 6 having pleaded guilty at a hearing last month.
The defendant had also admitted causing approximately £4,000 of damage to various items of property belonging to Bournemouth University and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress at The Village Campus, Gillet Road, on June 13.
District Judge Stephen Nicholls committed Szum to prison for 12 weeks concurrent. He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation to the victim of the sexual assault and £3,577.13 compensation to Bournemouth University.
Szum was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for seven years.
He received no penalty for breaching a conditional discharge order made on May 26 for an offence of theft.
