He said: "We have a range of products that we design and develop ourselves. We do it all, which I’m very proud of.

"Our products have done well in Selfridges and Harrods, and it gives us nationwide exposure. Locally, our focus is on ensuring that coffee is accessible.

"Accessibility is about trying to deliver to our local retail partners and making sure our customers enjoy great coffee.

"To have a great coffee, you have to make it. You can buy a great coffee but you can make it taste awful in the process."

As well as great tasting coffee, Barista & Co also offers coffee-making equipment for customers to help them fully enjoy and appreciate good coffee.

James said: "You can buy great coffee, but if you don’t have the right equipment, you can’t enjoy it.

"In the UK, 51 per cent of people own the wrong coffee maker. We can provide people with great coffee equipment, such as coffee machines, grinders, professional milk pitchers and much more.

"Our unique selling point is that if you buy from us, it’s your beans, your brewer and your coffee.

"If you just sell coffee, that is only the final part of the process. All we wish is for people to try something different. We’re about trying to encourage people to try a high grade of coffee.

"My main focus is that whoever buys the coffee, whether that be from us or a partner, has the best coffee they can possibly have.

"Wherever people drink their coffee, I think 'can we be in those locations?'. For example, we want to deliver the best coffee on the high street."

Supporting an important cause is also an integral part of the business for both James and Louise.

Every product purchased from the company's teal range results in a donation to Project Waterfall.

James said: "Project Waterfall brings clean water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities across the globe.

"We’ve been doing our ethical and sustainability piece since the start of the business.

"We were the first coffee company in the UK to tie in with that, which we’re really proud of."
