A MAN from Ferndown has been identified following an image appeal in relation to a reported incident where a pigeon was killed with a catapult in West Moors.
Following the event, the police released an image of a man they were looking to speak to in connection with the incident.
The witness found the pigeon with a “significant head injury” and later died.

A police spokesman said: “It was reported that at around 7.15pm on Thursday June 3 a man was seen firing a catapult at trees in Woolslope Road.
“The witness came outside to find a pigeon with a significant head injury and the bird subsequently died.”
“Following an image appeal, a man from Ferndown has been identified and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.”
