A POPULAR family fundraiser is returning this year - but with more bubbles and chaos than before.

This year, Wessex Cancer Trust's Rainbow Run will take place on the Isle of Wight at Sandown Airport on Sunday, July 18.

Now in its third year, the three kilometre fundraiser will include giant inflatables, colour stations and two new bubble stations.

Wessex Cancer Trust’s Regional Fundraiser, Lorraine White said: "Rainbow Run is back and, with bubbles added to the mix, the 40 birthday edition is set to be our best yet.

"The combination of giant inflatables, rainbow-coloured powder paint and an amazing atmosphere always makes it such a popular event and we hope, after such a difficult year, the island will be more than ready for some Rainbow Run fun.

"Help us celebrate our 40 birthday in style by walking, running or dancing your way through the island’s happiest three kilometre fundraiser while raising money for families living with cancer."

Although last year's event was cancelled, the event has so far raised more than £70,000 for islanders affected by cancer.

Entry is now open and you can sign up at: www.wessexcancer.org.uk/event/rainbow-2021

All participants will receive a medal for taking part.
