ONE person has been taken to hospital following a three vehicle crash early this morning. 

Police and the fire service were called to the crash on the B3082 between Wimborne and True Lovers Knot at 4.17am on Wednesday, June 16.

Officers attended and closed the road from Tarrant Keynston and QE School.

The 5.1 mile stretch of road was closed for three and a-half hours. (Google).

Three vehicles were involved in the collision and one person suffered slight injuries and has been taken to hospital as a result. 

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to the B2082 between Blandford and Wimborne at 4.37am this morning following a collision between three lorries.

"Three fire crews attended, two from Blandford and one from Wimborne, and one casualty was cut free from their vehicle."

The road was reopened at 7.51am.
