FIRE crews remained at the scene of a heath fire on Monday evening to deal with hotspots.
The initial stop message for the heath fire at Turbary Common in Bournemouth came at 1.05pm on Monday afternoon.
However, at 5.45pm, crews returned to deal with hotspots in the area.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Redhill and Poole Fire station mobilised to a second Heathland Fire in a close proximity to the previous incident at midday today.
“Crew discovered a smouldering heathland fire that was extinguished using the 4 x 4 Landrover pump.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
