A BOURNEMOUTH man has been handed a court bill of more than £1,200 for driving offences committed on a motorway in Yorkshire.
Arhama Alsahlawi, 22, was alleged to have been at the wheel of a BMW M5 between junction 27 and 26 of the M62 westbound near Leeds, on October 29, 2020.
Prosecutors told Bradford And Keighley Magistrates’ Court at a hearing on June 4 that Alsahlawi, whose address was given as Burnaby Road, Bournemouth, drove without due care and attention, used a vehicle without insurance and drove without a licence.
The defendant did not attend the hearing and the three charges against him were proved in his absence.
The bench issued a £1,100 fine along with an order to pay £90 prosecution costs and an £88 surcharge.
Alsahlawi’s driving record was endorsed with six points.
