A BOURNEMOUTH salon that has ambitious plans for the community following a 'facelift' is this week's Trader of the Week.
TOCA Bournemouth in Lansdowne Road, previously known as Coast, is one of 15 salons across the south coast owned by TOCA, and the Bournemouth premises is already making its mark.
The hair salon was rebranded and refurbished during the second national lockdown in November 2020.
After a busy Christmas period, the salon had to close for the third national lockdown but is now open and thriving.
Chief Financial Officer for TOCA salon group, Tina Page said: "We went from a couple of salons up to 15, which is quite a big growth. Our salon in Bournemouth in Lansdowne Road was one of the first salons we took over, and we have ambitious plans in place.
"It has been a challenging year which is why we’re trying to get TOCA on the map. We are continually recruiting for the Bournemouth salon. Our aim is to also have two beauty rooms downstairs.
"The salon currently has three stylists, but there is so much more scope to make it bigger. We could have six chairs in there. But, we are focusing on the stylists that are there now. Hopefully by the end of 2021 we will have eight members of staff, in beauty and hair."
A variety of hair treatments are offered at TOCA Bournemouth, such as colour treatments including balayage and traditional foils.
The planned introduction of a beauty salon will also see further treatments offered at the salon.
Tina said: "Our ultimate aim is for TOCA in Bournemouth to be busy for hair and beauty treatments.
"The Bournemouth salon is really modern and lovely, it has such a lovely feel to it when you walk through the doors.
"The area is quite popular with students. I am looking to promote the salon within the Student Union in September, when restrictions will hopefully be lifted.
"As a company, we want to make everyone feel wonderful and, as a one-stop shop, cover all beauty needs.
"We want to give people a TOCA experience which is wonderful."
