HAVING been to the beach near Durley Chine yesterday and to Shell Bay today, I wonder why BCP council bother putting up signs/bylaws explaining what is expected of visitors.

A waste of council tax payers money. Nothing is enforced.

Visitors just give seafront personnel verbal abuse and carry on regardless.

Yesterday I witnessed at least four occasions of people with dogs not on leads on the prom.

At least half a dozen “kids” on Beryl e-scooters and no end of people on private e-scooters on the prom. Apart from a couple of seafront staff cruising along in their vans and one guy on foot walking along the prom there was no effective policing of these issues. And that was just in a small area and timespan.

Coming back from Shell Bay today, there were vehicles parked all over the pavement along Panorama Road, and Shore Road. And also around roads at Branksome Chine.

So obviously the police do not have the manpower to deal with these idiots, some of who were parked both dangerously and inconsiderately.

BCP want their towns/seafront to be the cream of Europe as tourist destinations but it seems at the detriment to the local people funding this”dream”.
