A NUMBER of valuable items such as jewellery, laptops and a camera were stolen from a property in Bournemouth.

A home in Queens Park South Drive was broken into between 1.35pm and 2.25pm on Monday, June 7 while the occupants were out.

The culprits carried out a search of the premises and a number of items were stolen including jewellery, laptop computers, a camera and a number of other valuable items such as vintage cigarette cases, antique letter openers, vintage watches, vintage fountain pens and vintage cigarette lighters.

A man was seen entering and leaving the property around the time of the burglary. He is described as white, aged in his 20s, between five feet and five feet six inches tall and of slim build.

He was wearing sunglasses, a grey Adidas tracksuit with a black logo and a black T-shirt with a grey logo and was carrying a grey hooded top with writing on it and a yellow JD sports bag.

And police have released images of the items stolen and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective sergeant Karen Penn, of Dorset Police’s priority crime team, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this burglary and I am appealing to anyone who has any information to please contact us.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a man matching the description given in the area around the relevant time or if they noticed any other suspicious activity. I would also urge residents or motorists who were in the area to check home CCTV systems or dashcams for anything that might assist our enquiries.

“I am also issuing images of some of the items that were stolen and would urge anyone who comes across these being offered for sale to please get in touch.

“Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to ensure they fully secure their properties when they are not at home and review the security measures in place.”
