AN ARREST has been made in connection with an incident in which a man demanded money from three stores, stealing cash, cigarettes and vape liquid in the process.
At around 3.25pm on Thursday, May 20, a man entered Co-op in Castle Lane West in Bournemouth and demanded money from the member of staff.
They refused to hand over the cash and the culprit ran out the shop.
At approximately 4.50pm that same day, a man, believed to be the same individual, entered McColl’s in Turbary Road in Ferndown and demanded the person at the till gave him money.
He reportedly grabbed some cash and ran out the store.
He was also reportedly in possession of a knife but did not threaten staff with it.
It was further reported that at around 2.20pm on Friday, May 21, a man entered Co-op on Cranleigh Road in Bournemouth and demanded money from the till before stealing cigarettes, vape liquid and cash.
Following enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID, a 30-year-old man from Wiltshire was arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted robbery. He has been released under investigation as detectives continue to make enquiries.
