POLICE responded to reports of a concern for the welfare of a man in a Poole car park.
Officers were called to Strand Street on Wednesday June 9 at 7.10pm. On arrival, they located the man who was seen on the wrong side of the railings.
After talking to the man for over an hour, police brought him to safety at 8.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “Dorset Police received a report at 7.10pm on Wednesday June 9 raising concern for the welfare of a man in the car park on Strand Street in Poole.
“Officers attended and located the man on the roof on the wrong side of the railings. The man was brought to safety at around 8.30pm.”
