SHE visited Bournemouth at the high-point of her career – but where’s Macy Gray been since?

The truth is that Macy, born Natalie Renée McIntyre, never actually left the limelight. In fact, she’s always kept very busy.

Macy raised the roof of the Bournemouth International Centre on March 27, 2000 – just months after releasing her incredibly popular single I Try.

The album the multi-platinum hit appeared on, On How Life Is, went on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide.

Macy released another nine albums in the years since, although none of the songs grabbed the publics attention in the same way I Try did.

She came third in a season of Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo, but was the first to leave Dancing With the Stars – America’s equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing – in 2008.

Bournemouth Echo:

Macy branched out into acting and starred in films such as Spider-Man and Training Day, as well as landing various roles in television.

She even provided one of the voices for the video game SSX Tricky.
