OUR government would be right to extend the July 21 end of lockdown for several more weeks.
With the sudden new Delta (Indian) variant now on the rise there is a strong chance of another wave increase on the horizon.
The so-far successful vaccination roll-out is now rapidly injecting all those under thirty. It is those very people of that age who would take more advantage than others within crowded venues than others.
If we all want to really feel safe and open up our doors to a world of ‘normal’ – getting back to where we once were with visiting our folks, opening up businesses and getting our economy back on track – then we should just wait a few weeks longer to get most secured.
Never mind Summer – let’s just look forward to a great Christmas and New Year 2022.
