IT IS World Oceans Day and to celebrate we've taken a look at some of our Camera Club's stunning pictures of Poole Bay.
Across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole we are lucky enough to enjoy seven-miles of glorious sandy beaches and an epic coastline which plays host to the second largest natural harbour in the world.
Our blue flag beaches are among the best in the world and have been named as the best in the country.

Not only are our coastal waters a haven for residents and visitors alike, they are also home to a wide array of vibrant wildlife including dolphins and seals.

The protection and management of the coast, in combination with the seawall to protect the cliff top from erosion, is required to maintain our iconic beach profile.
As part of their ongoing maintenance plans Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole council are currently topping up sand on eight sections of Bournemouth and Poole beach in a £7.5 million project to ensure the seafront remains able to withstand extreme storm events.
A stunning picture shared earlier today by the Facebook tourism page Love Poole has gained more than 650 likes in celebration of World Oceans Day.
