A MAN has been arrested in connection with a reported assault involving an axe.
Dorset Police have been carrying out ongoing investigations in relation to the incident which left a 23-year-old Bournemouth man with head injuries.
Police said they received reports of the assault outside an address in Parker Road, Bournemouth, at around 6.50am on Thursday, December 31, last year.
The man's injuries were not life-threatening.
Providing an update on June 4, a Dorset Police spokesman said: "Following enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID, a 29-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
"He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries."
